Waiting in The Wings

Here is yet another look at what is waiting to go into the shop. I did manage to get a few items listed yesterday and so my rack doesn't look quite as full. I'm not sure what I will get accomplished this week but going to work hard over the next couple of weeks trying to get prepared for July! I have a special story that I want to share with my fiber friends but I'm still working on it so stay tuned LOL

I was having so much fun taking pictures outside last week and now we have the Yucky Cloudy weather again. And the puppies took off with my little blanket I had been placing under my yarns and batts. Little stinkers!! Well it's washed and ready to go as soon as the weather allows. So hopefully I get to have some more picture fun soon!

As for now though it's time to get back to my fiber Den and get some work done before the house full of Boys begins to awaken. Hope everyone had a wonderful Memorial Day Weekend!

Dying To Show You

Above you will see just a few of the items I'm working on! A couple of rovings waiting for their turn at the spindle, several yarns drying and waiting to be listed in the shop!

What you don't see are the rovings that are being dyed today! I have some amazing batts that I carded this morning just waiting for me to get a chance to sit down at the Trusty Kick Spindle. By the way the Kick Spindle is my preferred method of spinning at this point in time. I think because it actually gives me a lot more control over my fiber and what I want it to do. Although the Boogie Fever that I listed recently was a blast to spin and I did spin it on my wheel. For now it's back to the bowls of dye and the yummy pre-soaking rovings just waiting for my crazy ideas. I have to say I'm having fun learning the Art of Hand Painting rovings. I love the excitement of expecting one thing only to find that it did it's own thing. Yep it's just a Fiber Fantasy Unfolding here on my little Patch of Pumpkin Creek!

Hope everyone is having a wonderful week!!

My Wonderful Mothers Day

I truly feel blessed to me a mom to Three wonderful Boys!! My son wrote this little letter for me! How is it that they forget our Faults! I love this letter, I love my sons and feel privelaged to have the opportunity to be their Mother! I will be getting a frame for it and putting it in my bedroom!! A good reminder when I begin to faulter.

I had decided that I didn't want to go out to Eat for Mothers Day! I wanted to be at home with my family and have a wonderful meal and Be A Mom! I invited my mom and step-dad to join us and my nephew. I made two pies, one Apple/Blueberry, and one was a Triple Berry Cherry Pie (OH SOOOO GOOD). I marinated some sirloin steak all day so that they would be good and tender (no way was I going to pay the price for the rib eye or kc strips) and my husband cooked them on the grill, and along with that we had the usual BBQ side dishes of coleslaw, baked beans, and fried potato's, with mixed veggies (again I refused to pay .50 cents for an ear of corn on the cob), and lastly good old texas toast garlic bread(half of it was eaten before it made it to the table). It was a wonderful day of cooking for my family, fun conversation with everyone around the table, and a nice relaxing evening visiting over coffee while the boys played outside.

All the boys are asleep now and I cannot imagine the day being any better than it was!

Below is a picture of The Boys and Me! This was sooo hard to get three boys looking at the camera and smiling at the same time. So this was as good as it gets.

This is my Absolutely Amazing husband. I don't know how he has put up with me for over 20 years! He is my Rock!

I hope everyone had a wonderful Mothers Day!
